Speakers: Jenny Boyett and Justin Elam
Length: 2 Parts

Having difficult conversations is something most of us dread, and a lot of us would rather avoid them all together. But having an uncomfortable but necessary conversation has the potential to strengthen our relationship with the person on the other side of the conversation.

So how can we have those types of conversations in the best possible way? Not only are there some best practices to keep in mind during the conversation, there’s also work we need to do before the conversation takes place. In this two-part group study, we’ll share a step-by-step framework you can follow when you face an uncomfortable conversation.

Part 1: Humble Preparation

Before we have a potentially difficult conversation, we need to look inward. In this session, we’ll review four principles to get ourselves ready.

Part 2: A Loving Approach

For a difficult conversation to go as well as possible, our approach is key. In this session, we’ll discuss some tips to keep the conversation on point and to love the other person well.
